restaurant. The original quote in real oak hardwood was £5,000, but Martyn offered to do
the job for £835, which included sub-contracting a joiner to clad the fireplace in
softwood, and guaranteed that the customers would not know the difference.
It was so successful, Martyn was asked to refurbish the whole restaurant, which is now a
free show place and free publicity. From one fireplace the contracts have grown to
refurbishing boardrooms, restaurants and offices as well as homes. He has more work than
he can handle, and all this in one small west country town..... the rest of the country is
there for the taking.
