The author of the above works started his
theatrical career over 20 years ago, since when he has written over twenty
children's plays, one-act plays, and a number of pantomimes. All the plays have
been successfully performed, and some are published.
The children's shows run between 45 and 55 minutes. Some are based on well known
characters, e.g. Humpty Dumpty, Snow White etc., whilst others are completely
original, e.g. Spooky Spider, Captain Crossbones etc.
These plays are perfect for schools and youth drama groups - especially for
entry into drama festivals. Indeed, some have won awards in such festivals.
Flexibility is the key word. The casts can be small, (doubling up) or extras can
build the cast as required e.g. more Munchkins in the The Wizard of Oz, or
flowers, trees and citizens in other shows.
The pantomimes are truly traditional, with no smut or innuendos, and have played
to packed houses, delighting children and adults alike.
The one-act plays have entered and won local drama festival competitions and are
very popular for such purposes.
