Have you ever walked into a shop, seen something you liked and then seen the price? Yes, I know, frightening isn't it? Now the next time you see something you want (such as a Country Pine Shelf) stop and say, "I wonder if I could make one." One day I did exactly that, and I've never looked back since, because when you know you've made it, other people seem to like it more, and you get that sense of achievement.

The exact words from one of my friends were, "That's lovely, where did you buy it from?", but to her surprise I said, &quotI didn't buy it, I made it." Then she couldn't stop going on about it all night, and I felt so proud.

Now I've made all my own furniture except for my sofa.
