I am 63 years old and married. I have three sons, who are also married. A grandaughter of two and a grandson of one-year-old, completes the family.

I was a scientific instrument maker (light precision engineering) until I was 37 years of age and then switched to the retail trade, mainly in furniture and carpets. For the last four years of that period I had my own carpet warehouse. I then lost everything in the "recession" including my family home.

Since then, I have been unemployed and living on Income Support in rented accommodation. I am a committed and active Christian and the larger part of my time is spent in church and Christian activities including being a Lay Preacher in Devon and Somerset. I also have a keen interest in Overseas Missionary work. My own parents were missionaries in Algeria, North Africa which is where I was born in 1933.
